"lieux de lutte" is part of the project "Usine des mémoires" (Memorie's Factory) built together with the collective Anachronique Symposium Committee. This work focuses on the history of the former French foundry Penarroya-Metaleurop in North of France. As this factory has been totally demolished 5 years ago, we performed a visual survey marked by visible or invisible traces that represent the history of this industrial monument. This foundry is well known in France since it shut down. On January 2003, the employees heard on the radio and tv that their factory was closing down. The serie "lieux de lutte" brings the viewer on the main places of the social fight after the shut-down, where the 830 former employees and their family have demonstrated days after days to fight for their rights.
